1. What the service is
AnswerHatch crawls the public pages of a domain you nominate and control, and serves an embeddable question-and-answer widget on your site that answers from those pages with citations, or declines. The current subscription tiers, caps and prices are on the pricing page and form part of these terms.
2. Your content and your domain
You confirm you control the domain you nominate and that you are entitled to let us crawl and index its public pages for the purpose of answering questions about them. You keep all rights in your content. We use it to run the service for you and for nothing else. We do not fine-tune models on your content or on your visitors' questions.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to publish material you have no right to publish, to attempt to extract material from another customer's corpus, to probe or degrade the platform for anyone else, or to present the widget's answers as professional advice. Do not point the widget at content behind a login or at personal information: AnswerHatch is built for public pages.
4. What the answers are, and are not
Answers are generated from your published pages and carry links to those pages. They are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and they are not a determination on anyone's case. The widget declines rather than answering where it has no registered source, which is the point of the product, and you should expect refusals to occur.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the pages you ask us to answer from. If a published page is wrong, the cited answer will repeat it.
5. Fees, tax and renewal
Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Tax is applied at checkout. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly and annual subscriptions renew annually, in each case until cancelled. Annual billing is ten times the monthly price. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded on cancellation; the subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
6. Caps and what happens at them
Each plan carries a page cap that binds when your site is crawled and an answer cap that binds each month. Exceeding a cap does not generate an extra charge. At the cap the widget serves a plain message and, where you have nominated a help page, links to it. The full ladder, including the 14-day grace period after a failed payment, is on the pricing page.
7. Availability
We do not offer a service level agreement at this version, and we are not going to invent one. The platform runs on infrastructure we operate and we will tell you about planned interruptions. If you need a contracted availability commitment, that is an enterprise conversation: [email protected].
8. Privacy and security
What we process, where it is processed, how long it is kept and who else is in the path are set out on the privacy page, and the architecture is on the security page. Both form part of these terms. Where you are a business customer, you may name AnswerHatch as a sub-processor in your own privacy policy; ask us for wording.
9. Our intellectual property
The platform, the widget, the governance pipeline and the provenance registry format remain ours. The governance layer is patent-pending: deterministic pre-call refusal, post-call identity scrubbing and leakage metering, all outside the model (provisional application 2026901234).
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, including consumer guarantees.
11. Suspension and termination
You can cancel at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the paid period. We can suspend a subscription for non-payment after the grace period, or for a breach of clause 3, and we will tell you why before we do.
12. Changes to these terms
We will post a new version here with a new version stamp and date, and email account holders before a material change takes effect.
